I have had a most hectic day today. I went to the wound clinic where they looked at my skin ulcers and the doctor debrided the biggest one. They were amazed at how good that one looked. Steph has obviously been a good nurse. After treatment I got the lose weight lecture. Like I haven't been working on losing weight for years now. I am going to have to try gastric banding. I am getting desparate.

After that we went to the bank and then I went to have my CT Scan done. That went quite well. Yay!!!! I am glad it is over with and now I can't wait to see the results. I want to get on with whatever, whatever.

We have medical appointments all week next week. I swear, it is time to talk about corn pads, lumbago and the rheumatiz. Geez I feel like such an old geezer.

That is my exciting day. I should write about something exciting but this is all I've got!

Talk to Bri about gastric banding. Seriously. It doesn't always work. She also has some of the same issues Panthera had.

You are saying a little re: the stuff that's related to diabetes, but now I see a CT scan with no mention of what it's for so now I will worry. ;p ;p ;p

Mer, the roux-en-y terrifies me and my insurance won't pay for the surgery that I want to have so that is why I am going to try the gastric banding. I know it doesn't always work but I also know that we have some of the top doctors in the field here in LR so that is why I am considering it. I only had two options. The gastric banding is the least invasive and it does work for some people. The roux-en-y doesn't work for some either. It is a sticky situation.

As for the CT it is just some follow up stuff.

I know you wouldn't even consider gastric banding unless you really thought it was necessary. That's the exact surgery Bri had. I know you have different bodies and different issues, but it does help to be able to talk to someone who's been there. I just happen to have someone handy. :)

Panthera had the roux-en-y done and it worked only as long as she exercised. She didn't exercise except at first. When you get to be our age, it's more of a necessity, unfortunately. ;p

I would go for the least invasive option, too.

Follow-up. Uh-huh. Of course, if you ever mentioned it before I don't remember. Oh well. I will butt out now.

::goes back to worrying::

Mer, I will talk to Bri. I promise. Warn her that I am coming, 'k.

As for exercise, I swear if I can just get enough weight off to be able to walk some and then walk some more I will not stop walking unless I absolutely have to do so. I may not be good at other exercise but I used to be a walking fool. I could walk for miles. I had thighs of steel.

As for other things, don't worry, about me. Just worry about Gen and Trevor they are enough to keep you occupied. Smoochies, Ardee-ann

I just realized that you are right I didn't mention the MRIs that I had in the past few weeks. It is about the severe back pain issues that I have been having. They are just trying to pinpoint the root of the worst of the problem. No worries just hopefully some relief.
