It sure is cold...BRRR...

The dragon head that you see stored in my freezer is now long gone but it was made by our daughter Zyoh about 10 years ago. We had a really heavy snow and she used the snow just from the hood of our car to make this dragon head. It was actually quite large. The length was about 16 inches and it was about a foot tall from the bottom of the neck to the tip of the horn. We kept the dragon head in our freezer for a long time. We even insulated it and saved it during times of defrosting the freezer (it is 1963 vintage) but finally we needed the space in the freezer and after four or five years we had to tell it good bye.

We had snow this week here in Little Rock, it wasn't as deep as the day Zyoh made the dragon head but the temperatures have been low and there is still quite a bit of snow pack around. The sun was out today but the high was only 33 so we didn't get much melting and as the temps are going to be about 12 tonight we will have all the slush freezing up again and black ice will also be an issue. I am glad that I don't have to go anywhere for several days. I can stay safe and snuggled in at SageMoon Cottage.

In the meantime I remember the day that Zyoh proudly sculpted the dragon head from crystalline snow and then safely carried it into our freezer where it lived to a ripe old age for a snow sculpture.

Ciao!

the dragon head...
I can't imagine why someone would wonder about a dragon head in someone else's freezer, it seems so natural to me. You wouldn't want it to melt would you. LOL!!!!

Hugs,
