It's the first Monday...

of Daylight Savings Time, otherwise known as Daylight HELL time at SageMoon Cottage. That's right, we do not like daylight savings time and believe that it is the work of Satan to mess with time as it should be AMEN! I have my reactionary right moments and they all deal with DST.

The day started off with thunderstorms and lots of rain. The little dog was scared but she has Stephanie wrapped around her little paw so Miss Teffers was catering to her. I would have just stuck her in the carrier, put the carrier on the bed by me and we would have both slept. If she didn't sleep she'd at least feel safe in her den and with her grannie. As it was Stephanie got very little sleep. I on the other hand slept like a log.

I have been off kilter of late. I don't know what it is about but I really HATE it. I like being on kilter only and having everything balance out like it should. I am sure that my "issues" all relate to the beginnings of DST. That is what I will blame it on anyway.

One of my writer friends, Mercedes Yardley  abrokenlaptop.com/ found the most awesome pair of silver studded platform stiletto platform heels that you can imagine. She proclaimed that they would "hurt like hellfire if you kicked someone in the eye with them," and she is so right. I wish I wasn't old, short and fat. I'd LOVE a pair of those shoes. They'd be AWESOME. However, I am old, short and fat so I won't be getting some anytime soon. Besides that being a klutz I'd probably break and ankle wearing them. They are sweet though! Mercedes has most excellent taste in shoes!

Another one of my writing compadres, Jamie DeBree, wrote an excellent article on branding one's self for when one has something to brand, It is titled, "Birth of a Business Brand," bookbiz.jamiedebree.com/2011/03/10/the-birth-of-a-business-brand.aspx Jamie has done an excellent job of branding herself and creating a publishing business that includes ebooks and traditional print books. She is always happy to share her experiences of the path that she is following.

I had an eBay weekend. Didn't do too much writing, lethargy overtook me for the most part. I hate it when that happens. Oh well, it is something I just have to deal with.

I have to say that I have found it odd all weekend that life is going on as per normal here while Japan suffers from the earthquake, the tsunami and now nuclear meltdowns. I am so grateful that I just have to deal with Daylight Savings Time and not real problems like the Japanese.
