Today has been a GREAT day...

I know it is now OFFICIALLY Wednesday but I will get to Wednesday another time, I am talking about my not yet completed day of Tuesday March 23rd. It was a GREAT day. I was part of the Tales From The South program talesfromthesouth.com presented by the Starving Artists Cafe, Argenta Arts District, North Little Rock, Arkansas starvingartistscafe.net . It was a great evening I had a rocking good time. The theme was mothers and mothering. I talked about an episode when my son Sean was having a horrible time with colic and I was having a dreadful migraine on top of severe postpartum depression. It was an interesting day to say the least, especially since my daddy showed up right in the thick of much crying and wailing.

I had a little trouble when I started to read my story because the woman who read before me had such a touching story that I got teared up and had a catch in my throat because I was about to start crying when it was time for me to read. I managed to get through the moments of tearfulness and not screw up my reading too badly. WHEW!!!!

I had so much fun and cannot WAIT to go again just as a spectator. I will also be writing more stories to hopefully get the opportunity to read again. I loved it and had just the best time. I was on cloud nine!

I drank a bucket load of iced tea and water. I have been tinkling ALL NIGHT!!! I drink a lot but I think I drank more than usual. I was a thirsty girl.

My mom, dad, sister and, of course, Miss Teffers were there to see me read. I was glad for all of the support. My sister had been dealing with serious legislative issues for the past two days so I was surprised that she was able to be there. It was amazing that she made it. Anyway, I just can't get over what a great time it was. I feel like a kid in a candy store about the whole event. It was just perfect.

Well, I guess I will quit gushing and start thinking about my next round of stories. I am also getting geared up (already) for JulNoWriMo. I am totally amped for the event. I should do better than I did with NaNoWriMo last year.

Have a great day!

Ciao!

It's so exciting to be asked to read your work. And to be asked for a radio / podcast is even better!

I can't wait for Mother's Day so I can hear you reading your story. :)

Mer, thank you for your support. I appreciate it. I will just keep reading for free and ticking Harlan Ellison off. LOL!!!!

Cheers,
