OMG, I am a Kindle addict...

I have been shopping for freebie books in the Kindle store and have found beau coup classics for FREE!!! I can read my way into oblivion. There are so many books that I "could've, should've, would've" read in high school that I now have on my Kindle to read for FREE!!!! I know I could have gotten them at the library but TWICE in my young life the library LOST books THAT I HAD RETURNED and tarnished my reputation as a library borrower. I never really felt comfortable about the local library again although I DID check out books for writing papers from my local university library when I was a student there. I just felt different, reading for necessity vs. reading for fun.

Now I can get a cubic buttload of books for FREE!!!!! Can you tell I am happy???? Okay, so I got some thrillers and trashy books too but one needs balance in one's life, right, of course, right!!!! I will start reading tonight with "A Touch of Revenge," a thriller by Gary Ponzo garyponzo.com . This book is the sequel to "A Touch of Deceit" which is a book I loved enough to read twice in a row as in BACK TO BACK....I loved that book and can't wait to read its sequel. Both books are $1.99 on Kindle at Amazon.com. It will be worth your $3.98. Trust me on this one and I haven't even read the second book yet. Gary Ponzo rocks! Remember that name and remember you heard it hear FIRST!!!! I am an A Number ONE member of his fan club and he doesn't even HAVE a fan club yet but I am SO there!

Well, I can recommend the Kindle if you can afford it (I got mine free from Moses Sinegar III author of "The Black God's War," by winning a contest he held or I wouldn't have a Kindle.) If you can't afford a Kindle you can download a Kindle app for your Mac or PC and read all of the freebie books too. It is a great, good deal. That is what I did before winning the Kindle. There are also lots of great books for .99 and you don't have to worry about returning library books or having them GET LOST!

I love holding a "real" book in my hands but with my vision problems, reading "real" books has become quite the choir and so reading on the Kindle where I can adjust the print is a great deal for me. I just love it.

I have to also get me head into writing. This is JulNoWriMo
julnowrimo.com and I need to write at least 50,000 words between now and 11:59 pm July 31st, so I can't JUST play with my Kindle. I have so much to do and so little time!

Have a great evening!

LOL, you are so funny! And so excited! :)

I'm glad you're enjoying your Kindle. It's neat to be able to read entire books for very little money. I was bad at bringing books back to the library. I would completely forget. I think I had to pay $80 or something when we lived in Thousand Oaks. Nice library, but they didn't have a "debt ceiling." O.O

Library books...
Yeah, I am bad about returning in a timely manner too. Our library fortunately DOES have a debt ceiling and once a year for canned goods they wipe your slate clean of any overdue fees. It is a great deal!
