#NaBloWriMo ~ The Sage Continues...

Today was fairly quiet until this evening, we did stuff around the house, ran some errands and then took naps. We are good at nap taking. Anyway, as we were getting ready to eat dinner, Stephanie was coming from the kitchen to the living room (where we eat) and FELL!!!!! Yes, that's right, Steffie tripped over the fan and fell onto her "good" knee which is on the opposite leg from the torn Achilles tendon. Oh great! Her foot slid in the boot too. Thank goodness she had her boot ON, I can't imagine what would have happened if she didn't have her boot one. Oh the trauma!!!!
This has not been Stephanie's week. She also woke up this morning with asthma stuff going on. It has been a day and a half. Jiminy Cricket!

Well, I have found that while many people like my writing many more seem to think it sucks. I really don't care if people do not like my writing but the fact that they don't have the wherewithals (SageMoon Cottage word) to be honest about it really chomps.

I read on Twitter last night that another #NaBloWriMo participant is afraid that the quality of his writing is suffering due to his participation in #NaBloWriMo. I KNOW that my blog posts leave a lot to be desired but IMHO the purpose is to create every day writing practice, and for some of us, to prepare us for #NaNoWriMo. I know I am never going to be Hemingway or Dot Parker but I do have some modicum of talent although I am lacking in routine, discipline and organization. It is my hope that with two full months of writing practice that I will stay on task and not let myself stray again. I don't have to write a thousand words a day. If I get one hundred words a day written then I have accomplished something. It is about the doing and being consistent. The only thing I have been consistent about is tinkling, eating and washing the dishes and the latter has only been in the past ten years or so. I am not even consistent about sleeping. I am just a REAL slack ass on all fronts. What can I say?

In the meantime, I have managed to write everyday for eight days and that is a start. I am not writing great fiction or even non-fiction. I am talking about accidents, little dogs, errands and life's everyday happenings but I AM writing. I am proud of that. With this summation I say to you...
