#NaBloWriMo ~ dancing in the darkness...

It is a beautiful fall night with a crisp chill in the air. I am a little cold but not too bad with my way cool rainbow silk hat on. I wear it with my heather gray jammies as I sit at my keyboard tapping out my blog post for the day. It was a fun day with errands to run. The best part of errands was buying microwave popcorn at the grocery store. We had popcorn for dessert as we sat and chatted about the day and week. We planned for the holidays and look forward to seeing the grands opening their Christmas presents we have purchased. All in all it will be a fun and quiet holiday season, no parties, hustle and bustle for us. We shop by mail and do so early. We celebrate Steffie's birthday on the 12th of December and then kick back until Christmas Eve which will be celebrated at baby bubba's house with new SIL planning the feast.

On Christmas Day we will go to the nursing home, visit Steffie's mama and then go have Chinese food like we do every year. It is our tradition.

Hopefully Steffie will be out of her orthopedic boot by the 19th and will be able to celebrate without having to drag that around, although she does feel more secure in the boot than out of it at this point. I think she is afraid of hurting herself again. Hopefully that will not happen.

My knee continues to get better after the doctor "yanked it around" and I hope to be able to find the orthopedic sleeve I need for it at a price I can afford. I don't want to go through the pain I was enduring again any time soon. My quality of life was severely suffering.

We may not actually be dancing in the darkness but we are enjoying our lives and the days as they roll by. We have a good life together and enjoy every minute of it.

I hope you are doing well and I wish you a good evening.
