#NaBloWriMo ~ it was a pretty day...

The sun was out, the birds were singing, the hawks were flying and we were running errands. It was a nice day to be out after all of the rain, rain, rain yesterday. I enjoyed our errands and look forward to the ones we will engage in tomorrow.

The end of the year is coming and I am contemplating what changes I want to make in my life as 2011 draws to an end and 2012 pops onto the scene. One thing is that I want to try to figure out how to have more energy. I feel sapped of all strength most of the time and it reeks. I have so much I want to get done and so little energy to get it done with. I remind myself that I am disabled for a reason but dang, I wish I was less disabled and more able. So that is a goal for 2012, amp up my energy levels. I will do the best I can to do that.

I didn't get my Christmas cards mailed but I am trying to get them ready to get out for New Year's cards. They may not arrive until after New Year's Day but there ARE 12 days of Christmas. We can't forget that.

I got my brother-in-law's birthday present ordered. It will be here after his birthday but I will be getting it to him anyway. It is what my sister requested for him, diabetic socks. I got six pairs in black. I hope he likes them.

On Christmas Eve my sister-in-law made some Chicken Enchilada Dip. It is awesome. It would be great over pasta, rice, beans or potatoes. I need to get her recipe. I haven't tasted anything new that was that good in a LONG, LONG time. I can't wait to try making it.

Well, I guess I am through writing for the night. It has been a lovely day and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

Sweet post , Ardee-Ann. This time of year makes me lethargic too! Too much food, drink, socializing. Happy to hear your Christmas was nice, and what a great idea to have New Year's cards! xoxo eden
