I am a writer but...

you can't tell it by how halting my blog writing seems to be. Meh!

I read today that writing for a blog is different from other types of writing. I know that they are correct because I feel like I am floundering around and unable to say anything of interest.

I have been making up stories to tell friends and family almost since I could talk. Most of my stories were of the spoken variety because my handwriting was so bad that it was almost excruciating to try to write something. I did better once I got hold of a typewriter although I got a "D" in typing because I maxed out at about 15 words per minute. I am starting to hit my stride on the computer but still find getting words written down to be an arduous process.

The purpose of this blog is to introduce you to Ardee-ann the writer. I am 53, live with my partner Miss Teffers, have 3 adult children ages 32 to 28 and 2 grandchildren with another one on the way. I have 3 granddogs too. I share my home, SageMoon Cottage with Miss Teffers, our four cats and a naughty little Chihuahua named Jezzi. All of the cats would like to see Jezzi go live someplace else but she is a puppy mill rescue and all of our cats are rescued, 3 were feral and well, Miss Jezzi is staying right here in her forever home like the cats. Our cats are all aged 12 to 13 years and Miss Jezzi is 3 years old. We have had her for almost 2 years now. She is a little ray of sunshine in our lives.

Anyway, writing is my passion and I am finally finding myself able to get the words out of my head and actually written down. I will be sharing edits from my WIP, "As If A Transitive Verb" which is the novel I wrote during NaNoWriMo 2009. (http://nanowrimo.org) I will also be engaging in writing exercises, mostly brief word prompts and I will be doing some book reviews as I can.

I hope that you will find this blog engaging and will enjoy spending time here.
