Tuesday night my mind was too blown for me to gather together any coherent thoughts for a blog post even though I was awake until 5 am. Maybe I should have at least blathered on about something but it just wasn't happening.

Last night I went to bed early. That is my only excuse such as it is.

Here I am tonight, just barely after midnight. This is an early, early blog post time. I guess I need to just go with it LOL!!!!

Tuesday I had to repeat my Holter monitor test to check out heart rhythm issues. I decided that Tuesday was a GREAT day to monitor my heart rhythms because of the election and watching the election returns. I was right. My heart did all kinds of tangoes, salsas and rhumbas. I think it did the cha-cha a time or two also. Although from what I heard my heart seems to have been less...um excited than Karl Rove's was on election night. I haven't watched the video yet but I really need to do so. Yes, I know...I am tacky!

I don't really remember much about yesterday. I know I did housework, washed dishes and cooked dinner. The rest of the day seems like a blur though. Brain fog will do that to a person.

Today I took the heart monitor back to the medical center, then Stephanie and I went to the Apple Store to get the Ipad updated. It was a free update. Nothing like getting a free Ipad and then getting it updated for free too. Woo hoo!!!!

I had nervous conniptions going to the Apple Store. You have to first understand that I hate going to West Little Rock. It is overblown and overrated. They continue to rape the land out that direction when with a little planning parts of midtown could be revitalized instead of destroying the beauty of natural landscape but oh not...rich people (or those who pretend to be rich) don't want to live with or around mere peasants so they build their McMansions on once beautiful green vistas. Then because that is where the locus of money in the city is more fertile land is despoiled to build shops to feed the crass consumerism of the monied class. I hate that the Apple Store is out there. I intend to write and complain to the corporate offices. I doubt it will do any good but I am still going to do it.

Anyway, I don't like going to West Little Rock anyway but then we got to The Promenade at Chenal and things got really crazy. The shopping center is beautiful but it is poorly laid out. It is not handicapped friendly at all and the parking is abysmal. I don't know who designed the parking and the layout but they need to have their head examined. There is minimal handicapped parking. It is probably the very least they had to offer and still be in compliance with the ADA. Quite frankly they need to add additional handicapped parking spaces. I intend to complain to them too. It was horrible trying to find parking while the entitled rich were driving around like maniacs not caring who they ran over as they went from Point A to Point B. By the time we got parked I was about to totally "melt down."

Once we finally got to the Apple Store which was not very near our parking place things were better. I had started to breathe almost normally again. I have to say that the Apple Store is not handicapped friendly either. They do have places for patrons to sit while waiting for their service appointments but the provided seats are high stools, much like backless bar stools. They are not at all easy to sit on. The Apple Genius who helped us was very friendly and helpful but I was so glad to get out of the store, into the car and away from The Promenade at Chenal and West Little Rock in general. I hope that I don't have to go back out that way for a long, long, long time.

Then tonight I had my second blood sugar crash of the week. I could sort of rationalize the one on Monday but the one tonight I cannot figure out for the life of me. It took me a long time to pull my blood sugar level up. It was more than 2 1/2  hours to get it up to 85. I realize that the new standard for blood glucose readings is about 80 to 115 and it is well and good if one can function at those levels. I get sick and start having pretty significant hypoglycemic symptoms around at BG reading of 100. At 85 I am very sick. My "normal" is 135 to 145. (I still get good HbA1C readings so that is what really counts in the long run.) I don't know how low my BG levels got tonight but after I had been working for about 45 minutes to get my symptoms, which were really bad, to subside my BG level was only 61. I didn't think it was going to normalize and I don't know why it didn't or why it crashed in the first place. The last thing I need is for my BG levels to become "brittle" again. They have been normalized for years without any trouble. I can't figure out what the deal is at this time.

So now you know what I have been up to, so my question is...how bored are you now???? LOL!!!!

Ciao!

Oh boy, re: your heart. o_O Have you gotten feedback from the docs about what's wrong?

That's weird about your blood glucose. I wonder if the issue with your heart is related in some way. It probably isn't but hormonal type stuff can mess with more than one system... I hope it all gets straightened out soon!

What happened to Rove? I didn't hear anything about that. I should probably ask the universe for forgiveness, but it doesn't bother me much. I'm just curious.

The rich people's developments have spouted all over despite the "slow growth" movement and historic buildings have been torn down or moved in the downtown area to make way for tall "modern" buildings. We didn't used to have buildings over two stories, so more than two is strange when compared to the rest of the downtown area.

this, that and the other thing...
Mer, my BG levels can have a negative effect on my heart but the heart issues started before I became diabetic. So the answer is "Maybe, maybe not!" How is that for clarity??? LOL!!!

Karl Rove didn't want to accept that Obama had won the election. Here is a link to an article in the LA Times. It has footage from Fox. Part of the video is before the print story and part of the video is after the print story.

For a while our downtown great UP...now our city is spreading out, out, out...back in 1973 or 1972 even my friends and I ascertained that Little Rock would soon go from "county line to county line" based on the ridiculous growth back then. Since that time LR has "puked" all over the landscape and really is pushing toward the "county line to county line" prediction. I suppose that it may not actually make it to the EXACT county line but close enough for "government work." I can't tell you how beautiful the countryside was and now it is being chewed up into bits and pieces.

Hugs,

Ardee-ann
